The National Examination Board (NEB) has officially published the results of the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) for the academic year 2082. The results were announced following a board meeting held on Monday evening, accompanied by a press conference.

According to the board, this year’s results show a noticeable improvement compared to previous years. Out of a total of 430,667 students who appeared for the examination, 65.98%—equivalent to 284,160 students—have been graded, meaning they have successfully passed. Meanwhile, 146,507 students have been categorized as non-graded (NG).

In comparison, the SEE results of 2081 recorded a pass rate of 61.81%, while only 47.86% of students passed in 2080. This year’s performance reflects an increase of 4.17 percentage points compared to last year. Additionally, the number of non-graded students has decreased by approximately 21,000.

GPA Distribution

  • 3.60 to 4.00 GPA: 48,392 students
  • 3.20 to 3.60 GPA: 80,372 students
  • 2.80 to 3.20 GPA: 94,222 students
  • 2.40 to 2.80 GPA: 55,977 students
  • 2.00 to 2.40 GPA: 5,190 students
  • 1.60 to 2.00 GPA: 7 students

A significant number of students have achieved higher GPAs, with over 48,000 securing between 3.60 and 4.00, indicating improved academic performance nationwide.

Traditionally, SEE results are published around three months after the examination. However, this year, the results were released within just one month, following directives from the Education Ministry. The board stated that the faster publication was made possible by evaluating answer sheets at the respective examination centers.

The examinations were conducted from Chaitra 19 to 29.
